In the bible, After Jesus talks to the Rich young ruler. (Matthew 19:16-26). His disciples ask Him greatly astonished, “Who then can be saved?” Jesus answers, “With men this is impossible but with God all things are possible.”(Matthew 19:25-30) Oh, but this is so true. When it comes to your salvation you are not going to get there on your own. Do you think attending church every week and on holidays or, giving money or, doing this or that for your church earns your way? Not!!! You can however, do those works for all to see, but that’s not what the word of God teaches. Those works are in vain and are useless and we have been deceived. Works for God are from within that He does through you for His glory. It has nothing to do with you. We should never toot our own horn about I did this or that. Just do it and take no credit for it. Because we belong to Him, His Holy spirit is our helper, for sinners need a great helper. He would not think twice about throwing me into the bottomless pit if my sins were not covered by the blood of Jesus Christ, My Savior. All of us with a true repentive heart know this. It is nothing about the outside of you that is true to the Lord. We are flesh and constantly want to sin. When we are called to surrender and follow Him the road isn’t easy. It is easier to trust that He is there for us always, whatever we are going through. We cannot of ourselves enter heaven without Jesus Christ as our Savior. There is no one who can intercede for us. We need no one to do that. I always felt very uncomfortable confessing my sins to a man, a human like me. I always thought why? God sees all my sins. Then I thought well if He can see (before I was born again) I will never get to heaven anyway. I did way too much sinning, so I did more. Seriously, I really remember saying that to myself. It’s too late you can never get there. Then He waited patiently for me to get myself so deep in it, there was no way out. And I had nothing left but crying out, Lord please help me!!! He is waiting for you right now?
The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. (2 Peter 3:9)
We give all the glory and honor to Jesus, the only begotten Son of God. He took all of our sins and covered them with His blood, shed on the cross. He was our perfect sacrifice. For God so loved the world He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but, have eternal life. (John 3:18)
So as anyone anywhere can see things here are not getting better. I thank the Lord that I am forgiven forever and my salvation is forever and I will be with Him and all believers forever. For He tells His disciples and us living today. Let not your hearts be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know. (John 14:1-4) Are you glad you know the way? If not, you will someday be wishing you had.
I came across this this morning. Jesus did this at the last supper for His twelve apostles. There are many copycats (antichrists) in the world. Hmm…..I wonder if my family over there read this?
