After the Lord’s crucifixion and death. Then behold, the veil of the temple torn in two from top to bottom; and the earth quaked and the rocks were split, and the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints who had fallen asleep were raised; and coming out of grave after His resurrection, they went into the holy city and appeared to many. So when the centurion and those with him, who were guarding Jesus, saw the earthquake and the things that happened, they feared greatly, saying, “Truly this was the Son of God!” (Matthew 27:51-54) What does that mean? It means forever there is only one mediator between you and God, His only Son, Jesus Christ. Yet throughout generations, people have worshiped works of their own hands, silver, gold, wooden idols, the stars, the moon the, sun. Anything except the only God that is always with them and loves them. (Psalm 115, Isaiah 2, Hosea 4:12, 1 John 5:21, Revelation 9:20)
God sent his only begotten Son. He came down from his royalty and became as a man like us. He lived a perfect life without sin and died and was resurrected and was our perfect and once and only sacrifice for the forgiveness of sins. He was tempted to sin by the devil for forty days in the desert and ate no food. (Matthew 4; Mark 1:12,13; Luke 4:1-4)
Then His earthly ministry began. Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist who did not feel worthy to do so. Jesus answered and said to him, let it be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.” Then he allowed him. When He had been baptized Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him. And suddenly a voice came from heaven saying, “This is My Beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” (Matthew 3:13; Mark 1:9-11; Luke 31:21-23; John 1:29-34)
The perfect one for all those that would believe. At Pentecost three thousand souls repented at one time and were baptized by the Holy Spirit. (Acts 2:40-47) From generation to generation as the Lord instructs we are to hand down those treasures in the bible to all. The apostles, Peter and John were forbidden to speak the name of Jesus by the rulers, elders, and scribes, as well Annas the high priest, John, Alexander, and as many that were of the family of the high priest, were gathered together at Jerusalem. (4:1-37)
These are rulers, just like today and from the past. Popes who take the place of Our Lord on earth. Priests who forgive sins. Priests that only know their truth and share it with lost souls. They can’t read and understand their bibles, they pass down interpretations from the holy see. There is nothing new under the sun for these God mockers. You can read about them in Jude. No one, no pope, priest, false prophet can take His place. They are all liars and will lead you to the depths of hell along with themselves. Alas, if you could read your bible and understand and repent you would know the truth. Many people believe so much in false religions that they go blindly into the eternal pit. The bible is not a religion. It is our salvation, our instructions for living in a world run by the evil one.
Two choices one eternal damnation in hell, one eternal salvation in heaven. If you can’t choose you can’t see the truth because you are blinded by God who is sovereign. We all have a conscience and know that we will some day die. You will meet your creator and be judged. You will have no excuse. And converted sinners(believers) in the world were in your spot, hell-bound. Only by His grace through faith can you and any one be forgiven and saved.
